A father of six has suffered a severe eye injury, leaving him almost blind in one eye, following a violent clash in Nkawkaw over dog meat.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident began when a man identified as David paid GH¢70 to Mohammed, a dog meat seller.

Due to a shortage, David attempted to buy the meat from another seller. Mohammed later realized the price had risen to GH¢100, so he did not supply the meat and also failed to refund David’s money for several days.

Angered by the delay, David went to Mohammed’s house and took his bicycle. Mohammed later went to David’s home to retrieve it, which led to a fight.

During the confrontation, David allegedly punched Mohammed in the eye, causing serious injury. Mohammed was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but he has reportedly lost sight in the affected eye.
